12 Days of Pictures for 2008- Day 12

On the twelfth day of pictures my camera gave to me...

Day 12: As we wrap up the 12 days of pictures I want to share an image from one of my all time favorite weddings this summer- Heather & Bill's Wedding. I'm sure most people have seen pictures with the bride being picked up by the groomsmen but it's not too often you have a group of bridesmaids willing to pick up the groom. These ladies were a tough bunch- willing to walk through high grasses with stickers and climb on rocks (in fact requesting so) for pictures and willing to pose for this photo. Hope everyone enjoyed the 12 days of pictures! Check back for the latest happenings with Volkel Image soon! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

12 Days of Pictures for 2008- Day 11

On the eleventh day of pictures my camera gave to me...

Day 11: Anyone who has lived in Colorado long enough or visited any length of time knows how crazy our weather can be. As they say if you don't like the weather just wait 5 minutes. Well Jamie & Adam's Wedding was a perfect example of crazy Colorado weather. It was horribly hot one moment and then came the rain before we could barely run to shelter. This has to be one of my favorite rain photos. You can see just how much it was coming down... don't worry by the start of the reception the skies were clear and it was a beautiful day.

12 Days of Pictures for 2008- Day 10

On the tenth day of pictures my camera gave to me...

Day 10: Yesterday I posted a couple of photos from our final wedding of the season so today we are going all the way back to March from my first wedding of the year with Linsey & Fred's Wedding. I just love the look of a classic black and white photo!

12 Days of Pictures for 2008- Day 9

On the ninth day of pictures my camera gave to me...

Day 9: Our final wedding of the season was with Jen & Ben. Their reception was at Arrowhead Golf Course and as it neared sunset we took a few pics with the light coming through the trees with Jen. The picture was beautiful until a spider got a little fresh with Ben's new wife but he quickly took care of it for her... ugh I hate spiders!

12 Days of Pictures for 2008- Day 7

On the seventh day of pictures my camera gave to me...

Day 7: The lights from videographers can sometimes make a photographers job a little difficult but whenever possible I try to use it to my advantage instead and this is the result. This was taken at Ha & John's Wedding during their first dance.

12 Days of Pictures for 2008- Day 5

On the fifth day of pictures my camera gave to me...

Day 5: This summer I had an awesome opportunity to attend a workshop that gave me the freedom to just shoot away all day and all night. Here is one of the images that I haven't shared yet from our night shoot with Shoot with Beckstead.

12 Days of Pictures for 2008- Day 3

On the third day of pictures my camera gave to me...

Day 3: I absolutely love this picture from Blythe and Justin's Wedding in September. The light was coming in oh so perfect. Civic Center Park is probably one of my favorite places to photograph Downtown. Here are Blythe's bridesmaids giving the camera a little attitude.

12 Days of Pictures for 2008- Day 2

On the second day of pictures my camera gave to me...

Day 2: Here is an image I took of Melissa up in Breckenridge this last summer. Sometimes it's hard not to laugh when you're trying to be serious.

Here is the picture I was able to catch of her being serious right before she started to laugh.

Business Portraits at Cherry Creek with Kim

We had a great time a couple of weeks ago taking some business portraits for Kim's therapy practice. Kim is Erin's mother (we photographed Erin and Jared's engagement photos a little while back and are looking forward to their wedding next month). I just don't see the resemblance between the two, do you? Okay so they do look quite a bit alike and they are both such nice people too! Despite the cold wind that day it was pretty nice for mid November in Colorado. Here are just a few of my favorite images from the day.
