A Few More Pics with Seth... and Megan

A couple of weeks ago when I photographed some business portraits for Seth's new business cards we had a little time afterwards and took some photos of he and his wife Megan. They are still pretty much newlyweds and are such a fun couple. The visitor center in the subdivision had the perfect little pond for pictures. Here are just a few of the pics. Enjoy!

Blythe & Justin's Wedding Downtown

Blythe & Justin were married at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church on September 13th. Prior to the ceremony we met Blythe and her bridesmaids at Civic Center Park. Little did I know that there was a huge festival going on there in honor of Mexico's Independence Day that following week. I'm usually pretty good about checking everything out beforehand but for some reason I didn't this time- won't make that mistake again sorry girls. They were good sports about it though and we walked around to the other area of the park and got some great pictures.

During the ceremony there were a few things different than the traditional Catholic ceremony. Justin's family is Jewish so they combined both a Catholic and Jewish ceremony together. It was the first time I had the opportunity to witness Jewish wedding traditions- they definitely have a lot of cool traditions! Following the service it was getting dark really fast but luckily we were downtown so there were enough lights to get a few cool shots with Blythe and Justin before we headed to the Brown Palace for their reception.

At the reception they had a live band by the name of Jump Start (one of the bands under Pro Entertainment). Oh my gosh- they were so awesome! If you are looking for a band for your wedding they are THE band! Blythe and Justin crashed a lot of weddings to find these guys:-) Here is just a snapshot of their day. Blythe was sure she was going to fall out of the chair when they lifted her up but she made it through.

Jenson Business Portraits

A couple of days ago I took some business portraits for Jenson Realestate. These guys were so much fun. We started out at The Backcountry estates which are HUGE houses, then moved down to the visitor center to finish up. Seth Jenson really wanted pictures that felt more inviting then in a stuffy studio and I think we accomplished that. If you ever are looking for a house in the Denver metro area or beyond these guys will hook you up!

Cutest Little guy!

The other day I was cleaning out some old pics and ran across these pictures of Juliana & John's little guy, Johnny. This little dude is so flippin cute that I needed post it. These are from a couple of months ago when they came over to hang out, so I'm sure he's already bigger. It's so cool to think that a year ago on September 7th they were married and now have a baby boy. Best wish's guys!

Kelly and Israel Get Married at Hillside Gardens

The second half of my back to back weddings over Labor day weekend was spent with Kelly and Israel in Colorado Springs. The second the ceremony started rain drops started falling. I was so thankful as I am sure everyone else was when it just lasted for a short time with no downpour. However, it left a beautiful rainbow behind. I have only had two weddings where a rainbow showed up and coincidentally the last wedding was one year ago the same Sunday of Labor day weekend. I guess I should start selling that day as including a rainbow as well right?? The location was great- I could have spent hours upon hours just taking pictures between the gardens and the cool old junkyard area. Unfortunately by the time we got to take pictures with just Kelly and Israel the sun had already set so we only were able to get a few but check back in a few weeks for the reshoot with them. They had a pinata for the kids to include Israel's Mexican heritage into the day. It was such a fun wedding with some of the nicest people. Here's a sneak peek of their day.

Ladonna & Ryan's Wedding

Sorry I've been slacking on blogging the last few weeks... The last weekend of August was busy with weddings beginning on Saturday with Ladonna and Ryan's wedding downtown. We went to the City Park boathouse before the ceremony for some pictures with the bridal party. The wedding was at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church and from there they took a horse drawn carriage to the Seawell Grand Ballroom at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. It was amazing in there! They had floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Denver Skyline and the coolest light setup. We had a great time with these two and their huge bridal party... by huge I mean I can't even count that high:-) Here are just a few shots from the day. I love the one with Ladonna laying across the bed- beautiful!!

Cool Lightning Show

Hey everyone I found this awesome video on a photography forum the other day and just wanted to share it. It starts off slow but if you give it a second it's way worth it. Here is the link to check it out. You'll want to turn your speakers up for this one.

Awesome lightning show!
