Engagements in Evergreen with Brandy & Bill

Hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving! I can think of so many things to be thankful for this year even through hard times. One of those things includes having a job that I love and getting the chance to work with so many great people including a couple I photographed last weekend, Brandy & Bill. It's so much fun to get to know really cool people and seeing how much they love each other. Last weekend we headed up to Evergreen lake to take some engagement pics with these two and their dog Cheyenne. The weather was perfect for this time of year and I had such a difficult time narrowing down a few shots to share. My favorite time to photograph is near sunset because of the way the light comes in and just makes the pictures look awesome! Here are just a few I will share for now, enjoy!

Biggest Pile of Leaves.... EVER

Last weekend I decided it was finally time to pile up all the leaves that had fallen over the last month or so and get them out of the yard before the next snow. I had been postponing doing this for some time since I knew it was going to take a little while to accomplish but contemplating the possibility of what snow could do to them and not wanting to have to deal with wet molded leaves I figured I better take care of them. So here it is.... the BIGGEST pile of leaves EVER!!!! Okay maybe not ever but it sure is a lot of leaves (7 bags worth actually). This is what happens when I spend every waking minute working and in front of the computer editing photos and I neglect things like this. Oh well... it was fun piling them up though I have to say. What's better is when I invited my next door neighbor's daughter Chloe to jump in the huge pile. She was having such a blast jumping in the leaves. Don't you wish you could be a kid again sometimes just to be able to do this?

Kanye West Is Mean!

So I don't condone the actions of paparazzi at all, in fact I think they couldn't make it as real photographers seeing how they always seem to get the worst looking pictures possible and make even the best looking people look ugly. However, come on Kanye why the camera????? I cried when I watched this.

Mooney Family Pictures

It's amazing how much things can change in just a few years. Only two years ago we photographed David and Beverly's wedding. They were one of my first weddings I ever photographed, in fact they were one of my first paid jobs as a photographer. I was using film in those days and was just making a start in the photography world. Beverly was a little hesitant to hire me as their photographer, after all it is one of the most important days of your life. However, David told her "trust him, he's a fellow firefighter". I'm so glad they trusted me to photograph their day! It was so much fun and was the start of my career. Now two years later they have little Ethan who is an adorable little man! He was so good the entire time and LOVES having his picture taken. Here's a few from the day.
