E-Session Downtown with Mel & Adam

A long, long time ago in a land far, far away when Volkel Image was just beginning I photographed Mel & Adam's "couple" session with their new puppy Hemi. They were technically our first "engagement" session in the sense that it was practice for our first official engagement session- although Adam was quick to point out over and over that it was just a "couple" session. I've worked with Adam for several years and like to think that in a small way I got these two back together when I convinced Adam to call his then "ex-girlfriend Mel" to bring us Taco Bell for lunch. The rest is history. They are now getting married next month and we couldn't be happier for them! For their "real engagements" we took them downtown. They were such great sports and did whatever I asked- even climb up and hang off a train. I love the photo through the grate that perfectly made the shape of a heart around them.
