Calling All Brides, Bridesmaids and Ladies

So it seems there has been a little bit of of confusion regarding our contest due to the wording "Calling All Brides" indicating it's open to brides only. To solve this problem we've renamed the contest "Calling All Ladies" instead. We are extending the deadline a couple of weeks through March 16th for nominations. Sorry for the confusion... Here are the rules if you'd like to apply.

Marci & Mark's E-Session

Last Sunday we met Marci and Mark at their home for their engagement session. They have a beautiful home perfect for photos! Bella, their adorable doggy made an appearance for a few photos as well. These two were so much fun! I love the photo with Mark holding "his heart" for Marci... he's hilarious! We started at their home and then took a few photos at the new Landmark Village Shops in the Tech Center. The wind made for bitterly cold temps in the shade so I tried to find as many spots in the sun as possible to make sure they didn't freeze. We are looking forward to their wedding next month. Marci is Kevin's cousin who we photographed he and Kelly's wedding a little over a year ago- thanks guys for referring us!

Boudoir Workshop

Last week I had the opportunity to attend a boudoir workshop taught by Paige Elizabeth with several other Denver photographers. My work focuses mostly on weddings but I always love to learn something different and it was a great opportunity to try out boudoir photography. The theme for the shoot was women before 10 AM so we really tried to focus on regular everyday life. Here are a few images I took during the workshop. If you're interested in surprising your husband or significant other with an art book of your session please contact us for pricing.

Kari & Sterling's Engagement at Castlewood Canyon

When Kari told us she was getting married we were so excited! She's not only THE BEST hairdresser she's also a great friend and we just love her! We are so excited for her and Sterling and can't wait to photograph their wedding this June. Saturday we had beautiful weather for their engagement pictures- minus the wind. I'd been wanting to photograph at Castlewood Canyon for some time and they wanted a cool Colorado Mountain type feel for their pictures so it was the perfect location- and now it's one of my favorite places to photograph. They let me experiment with some off camera flash and we got some awesome shots. We had such a great time with them. Check out some of the pictures from the day.

So you're probably wondering by now what this whole contest thing is about so let me explain. We're holding a contest for a free bridal fashion or trash the dress, whatever you want to call it session. One lucky winner (or couple) will receive a day of fun with us and some images to take home. We'll have a make up artist for you and a hair stylist to dress you up for the day. The only thing you need is a long dress (bridal gown or something similar) that you don't mind getting a little or a lot dirty (2nd hand or vintage shops have some great options for this). The winner will receive the images on a high resolution disk with personal copyright use and a personalized 8x8 Coffee Table Art Book.

So here are the rules:
1. Open to any past, present or future bride. Maybe you were married a year ago, are planning your wedding now, or still haven't found Mr. Right- regardless if you've worked with us before or would love to become a new client everyone is welcome to apply. However, nominees must be 18 or over.

3. You can be nominated as a single or as a couple. Bring your husband, best friend, fiance or just yourself.
